Connie Joan Gibson, daughter of William Oliver and Pauline (Leatherbury) Knight, was born on December 30, 1944 in Garden City, Kansas and departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 70 years.
She loved being around family and friends. Connie would talk to anybody and never met a stranger. Her door was always open to anyone. She was very strong willed and had a wonderful upbeat attitude. Connie loved to travel, see new sights and was ready to go in a heartbeat. She had a bright smile that warmed the hearts of those around her. Connie will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Pauline Knight, husband: Kenneth Gibson and grandchild: Mace McReynolds.
She is survived by a large, loving family that includes her children: Ricky Joe Gibson of Arkansas, Donna McReynolds and husband Randy of Siloam Springs, AR, Diana Gibson and partner Valerie Helm of Checotah, OK, Tammy Lawmaster and husband David of Siloam Springs, Jimmy Joe Gibson of Watts, OK, grandchildren: Matthew McReynolds, Brien Lawmaster, Peyton Lawmaster, Hannah Lawmaster, all of Siloam Springs, Rory Daniels of Paris, AR, Tanner Gibson of Siloam Springs, Tyler McReynolds of Centerton, AR, Amanda Goins of Frankfort, KY, Justin Gibson and wife Stacie, Colton Gibson, Emily Gibson, Madison Gibson, all of Watts, 7 great grandchildren, sisters: Evelyn Curl, Sue Knight, Doyleen Barnes, of Garden City, KS, Betty Teague of Watts, OK, Peggy White and husband Steve of Siloam Springs, brothers: Butch Knight and wife Debbi of Harrington, KS, Joe Knight and wife Cynthia of Sacramento, CA.
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Memorial services were held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK with Sister Pam Patton officiating.
