Ruthell “Ruth” (Swindell) Gibbins
August 4, 1939 ~ March 1, 2024

Ruthell “Ruth” (Swindell) Gibbins, a Coalgate resident, was born on August 4, 1939, to Luther Cecil and Matilda “Tillie” (Hill) Swindell, at Idabel, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 1, 2024 at Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 26 days. Ruthell attended school at Farris. She was a home maker. Ruthell married Cecil Ray Gibbins on July 17, 1956, at Atoka, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Coalgate, Oklahoma. Ruthell owned and operated the Chuck Wagon Café. She was known for her chocolate and coconut pies.

Children: Leslie Gibbins of McAlester, OK

Sherry Hilderbrand of North Richland Hills, TX

Glenda Devoll and husband James of Grand Prairie, TX

Rochelle Sightler of Coalgate, OK

Grandchildren: Christopher, Mark, Nicole, Dustin, Michael, Brian

Rachel, Amanda, Megan and Lauren

Numerous Great Grandchildren

Brother: Luther Cecil Swindell Jr and wife Bertha of Fayetteville, AR

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY

Parents: Luther Cecil and Tillie (Hill) Swindell

Siblings: Juanita Stiles, William Franklin, Ellis Franklin, Ellen Franklin

Martha Weakley, Dovie Barger and Clovis Swindell
