Mickey Geurkink
June 22, 1961 ~ December 31, 2019

A Celebration of Life for Mickey Geurkink, age 58, of Enid, is 11:00 am, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor David Reber, Jr. officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Mickey was born June 22, 1961, in Enid to Larry and Sandra (Newsom) Geurkink, and passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019, in Enid.

Mickey graduated from Weatherford High School. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College graduating with a Master's Degree in Education. He worked for Hobart Public Schools; Hennessey Public Schools; Chisholm Public Schools and Enid Public Schools, eventually retiring from Medford Public Schools as Superintendent.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Edithe Geurkink; and Sanford and Ettamae Newsom. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Sandra Geurkink, of Enid; brother Pat Geurkink and wife Kim, of Sand Springs, OK; daughter, Alex Mustain and husband Alex, of Ponca City, OK; a granddaughter, Clara Polly Mustain; niece, Kylie Geurkink of Sand Springs, OK; nephew, Bryan Geurkink, of Sand Springs, OK. Extended family includes Carolyn LaBrue, of Enid; Casey, Melissa, and Quinn LaBrue, of Oklahoma City; and Brooks LaBrue, of Austin, TX.
