Sara Jane (Melson) George

October 1, 1940 ~ April 22, 2026

Sara Jane Melson-Tidwell George was born October 1, 1940, in Davenport. She went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, April 22, 2026, in Harrah at the age of 85. She also went to be with her sons, Michael Anothey and Mark Allen Tidwell; parents, F.D. Melson, Jr. and Lora Mae (Garrison); brothers, Everett Dale, and Thomas Harold Melsonl; sisters, Florence Falconer and Brenda Kidd.

Jane retired from Tinker Field with over 20 years of service. She was proud to have worked on B-52 aircraft. She enjoyed working with her co-workers and baking casseroles and cakes for them.

Sara is survived by her son, Martin Edward Tidwell; five grandchildren, Michelle, Any, Andy, Ali, and Alina; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond and Thelma, Kennth and Paula, Benny and Janett, Glen and Betty, Donald and Anette; sisters, Mary, Dorris and Bill, Sharron and Jerry, Loretta, Patti; along with numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

A celebration of Sara’s life will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Davenport Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
