Dennis Geno was born August 18, 1953 in Santa Monica, California to Eula Mae and Marion Geno, Jr. He passed away December 25, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 7 days.
Dennis grew up in Norman, Oklahoma where he graduated from Norman High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam conflict. During his time of service Dennis obtained the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge before he was honorably discharged on February 22, 1974. He returned to Norman, Oklahoma and was later married to Nancy Vaughn on February 28, 1976. They made their home in Norman for a brief period before moving to Elk City in January of 1977. Dennis obtained employment with H&P Drilling after coming to Elk City and continued until he began his own roofing business in 1984. He continued until just recently when ill health forced his retirement. Dennis enjoyed visiting with friends and family, watching the grandchildren participate in sporting activities and telling stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Randy Geno and 1 nephew, Randy Geno, Jr.
He is survived by his 2 children, Jennifer Smith and husband, Billy Paul, Elk City, OK and Denny Geno and wife, Krista, Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, Trenton, Alex, Natalee, Alivia, Catch, and Magi; his brother, Steve Geno and wife, Jan, Wichita, KS and their children, Shelby Geno, Zach Geno, Adam Geno and Ethan Geno, all of Wichita, KS; his sister, Carol Potter and husband Wendall, Gillette, WY and their children, Tony Brager and Jimmy Brager and a host of other relatives and friends.
