Penelope Lou "Penny" (Rahorn) Geasland
March 3, 1950 ~ February 9, 2024

Penelope Lou Geasland was born on March 3, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Doyle Harry and Ruth Eileen (Riley) Rahorn. Penny grew up in the Pryor, Oklahoma area where she attended school and graduated in 1968. Penny grew up with three siblings.

Penny continued her education at Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education. Penny became a schoolteacher where she taught in Pawhuska and Grove school districts. Penny met and fell in love with Frank Harvey Geasland. They were married in Vinita, Oklahoma on July 10, 1993.

Penny raised three children: Robert, Tammy and Myra. She loved being with her family. Frank and Penny loved being on the creek at their home in Missouri. She lived life to bless her husband Frank and her daughters. She always enjoyed going to Branson and spending time there. Penny was an avid reader of all kinds of books. She was always ready to go camping. She was active in the United Methodist Church wherever she lived.

Penelope Lou Geasland passed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home in Hominy, Oklahoma. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Penelope was survived by her daughters Tammy (Jimmy) Coon, Myra (Kevin) Evans; sister Jackie (Gary) Pickett; grandchildren Tiffany (David) Bradley and Jason (Morgan) Coon; great grandchildren Kodi Harper, Justin Coon and new baby coming in September. She was preceded in death by husband Frank Geasland; son Robert Anderson; parents Doyle and Ruth Rehorn; sisters Judy and Pat. The family will be having a private memorial later in the year. Arrangements have been made by Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma
