Margie Colene (Boyd) Gatlin
February 7, 1935 ~ March 14, 2020

Margie (Colene) Gatlin, 85 of Yukon, OK went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born February 7, 1935 in Reed, OK to Lillie Mae Boyd and Clifford S. Boyd.

Colene was one of 4 daughters Francis Collins, Mae Hammock and Robyn Braswell.

Colene attended high school in Salinas, CA where she was very active in sports playing softball and basketball. Colene and Bill married December 4, 1959 in Carter, OK and made their home in Salinas, CA where husband Bill was active Military, serving in many other places including Germany, Maryland until husbands retirement from the Army 1966 and returning to Salinas, CA for several years before making their life long home in Sayre, OK for 41 years where she was a bookkeeper for family business Gatlin’s Garage 1970-1997. Colene and Bill made their new home in Yukon, OK in 2011. No matter where their family moved Colene made the place a home.

Colene taught Sunday School for many years no matter where she lived and loved to have holiday dinners at her house. She was a caregiver to both her parents before they passed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Lillie Boyd, sisters, Francis Collins and Mae Boyd. Colene is survived by husband Bill E. Gatlin of Yukon; sister, Robyn Braswell and spouse Glen of Carollton, TX; daughter, Brenda Roberts and spouse Randy of Piedmont, OK; son, Billy Gatlin and spouse Cindy of Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, Cody Heinley and spouse Brad, Kyle Gatlin and spouse Brooke, Sara Horning and spouse Jeff, Halee Gatlin, Ricky Steele, Dan Collins and 17 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Services to celebrate her life will be 10 am, Thursday, March 19, 2020 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service.
