A beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend passed too soon on October 28th.
Danny was born in Chickasha Oklahoma and lived his life with a happy spirit, genuine love for others , and a generous heart. Family and friends cherish his cheerful personality, silly humor, clean good looks and his love for good food. Along with a superb collection of movies, Danny filled his home with his favorite Hummels and photos of his grandchildren. He could be seen on weekends catching the newest release at the theatre or browsing a local antique shop for treasure.
A Veteran himself, Danny spent the last three decades providing care to other vets through his work at the VA Hospital in OKC. He was commended year after year for his dedication and the impact he made on the lives of those he served.
Danny is survived by his children Jana Beihl and Roger Garrett and their spouses, four grandchildren, his siblings and many friends. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, his love of laughter, and his never-ending love and generosity.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a donation to one of Danny’s favorite charities: World Wildlife Fund, the Smithsonian Institute, or Habitat For Humanity.
All are welcome to attend a visitation on Friday, November 13th from 1pm-7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 SW 104th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73139.
Due to circumstances, his memorial will be immediate family only but will be live streamed at 2pm on Saturday November 14th.
