July 13, 1940 ~ January 22, 2020 (age 79)

Lanny Jackson Gardner was born July 13, 1940 to Thelma and Ed Gardner in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He entered the gates of his heavenly home January 22, 2020 at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Gardner has lived in the Norman and Oklahoma City area all his life, attending school in Midwest City. He graduated from Midwest High School in 1959. He moved to Norman Oklahoma and worked as a crew chief at the water treatment facility. He retired after 41 years.

Lanny Gardner and Peggy Janet Moren were united in marriage April 1980 in Norman Oklahoma, where they made their home.

Lanny was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. He loved watching OU football.

Lanny is survived by his wife Peggy Gardner of 39 years, one brother; Leon Gardner and wife Freda of Noble, OK, one son; Rick Gardner and wife Teri of Blanchard, OK, two daughters; Brenda Sanderson and husband Kyle of Bonham, TX and Sherri Ormes and husband Dennis from Norman, OK, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
