April 23, 1986 ~ April 22, 2023

Jorge Iván García, a 36-year-old resident of Woodward, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Woodward. A Christian burial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the San Pedro Catholic Church under the presidency of Father Cristóbal De Loera. A prayer and rosary vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at San Pedro Catholic Church. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Jorge Iván García was born on April 23, 1986 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua to María Guadalupe García Pina. She attended Avante High School in Juárez. Jorge married Juana Aracely Mata Torrez on March 30, 2006 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, where they made their first home. They later moved to Hooker, Oklahoma before settling in Woodward.

He worked as a cook, DJ, apprentice electrician and carpenter and currently worked in a construction business. He liked to play pool, poker and baseball, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, María Guadalupe García Pina; his wife, Juana Aracely Mata Torrez; a son, Jonathan Garcia Mata; a daughter, Alondra Noemà García Mata; a sister Areli Judith García Pina; other relatives and many friends.

 

Jorge Iván García, residente de Woodward de 36 años, falleció el sábado 22 de abril de 2023 en Woodward. Se llevará a cabo una misa de cristiana sepultura a las 10:00 a. m. el jueves 27 de abril de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica San Pedro bajo la presidencia del Padre Cristóbal De Loera. Se realizará una vigilia de oración y rosario a las 6:00 p.m. Miércoles, 26 de abril de 2023 en la iglesia Catolica San Pedro. El entierro familiar privado se llevará a cabo en una fecha posterior.

Jorge Iván García nació el 23 de abril de 1986 en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua de María Guadalupe García Pina. Asistió a las escuelas Secundaria Avante en Juárez. Jorge se unió en matrimonio con Juana Aracely Mata Torrez el 30 de marzo de 2006 en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, donde formaron su primer hogar. Más tarde se mudaron a Hooker, Oklahoma antes de establecerse en Woodward.

Trabajó como cocinero, DJ, aprendiz de electricista y carpintero y actualmente trabajaba en un negocio de construcción. Le gustaba jugar al billar, al póquer y béisbol, pero sobre todo le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia.

Le sobreviven su madre, María Guadalupe García Pina; su esposa, Juana Aracely Mata Torrez; un hijo, Jonathan García Mata; una hija Alondra Noemí García Mata; una hermana Areli Judith García Pina; otros parientes y muchos amigos.
