Joann Caroline Garcia passed from this life on June 28, 2024, at the age of 87.
Joann was born on December 6, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan; she was the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Bush) Ziesse. Joann grew up and attended school in Detroit after completing her education. She was united in marriage to Merrill Bolster, and to that union, there were five children: Sandy, Kathy, Linda, Gary, and Lisa. Joann moved to California in 1955 and, in 1970, moved to Winfield, Missouri. 1987 Joann moved to Oklahoma; in 1998, she moved to Yale, Oklahoma. While residing in Yale, Joann worked at the Yale Nursing Home until she retired.
Survivors are her four children, Sandy Douglas of Illinois, Linda Swing of Florida, Gary Bolster of Nevada, and Lisa Bryant of Oklahoma; one sister, Sharon Wright of Missouri; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; a longtime friend and caregiver Jackie Blackwell and a host of other relatives and friends. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Margaret Ziesse, daughter Kathy Hauschild, and two siblings, Doris Polk and Donnie Ziesse.
