Daniel Garcia, Jr.
August 4, 1962 ~ May 31, 2020 (age 57)

Daniel Garcia, Jr., 57, of Norman, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. He was born August 4, 1962 in Salinas, California to Daniel Garcia and Dolores Reynoso Garcia.

He grew up in Castroville, California and graduated from North Salinas High School in 1979. He received a certificate in Machinery from Moore Norman Tech in 2014. He served in the US Air Force for nine years, serving during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, as an air traffic control radar craftsman. He worked as a radar tech for the National Weather Service in Norman for over 20 years. He was most recently employed as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base.

Daniel loved the Oakland Raiders, going to the theater and attending concerts, riding his Harley, as well as traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother. He is survived by his wife, Laura Garcia, stepson Joshua VanRiper, daughter Natasha Garcia, brother Charles Garcia and wife Martha, and a nephew and several nieces.

A private family graveside service will be held in Castroville, California, at a later date.
