Billy F. Galatian was born January 21, 1944 to Billy Howard and Lillian Fay Galatian in Gore, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 16, 2019 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 26 days.
He graduated from Vian Public Schools in 1962. On September 7, 1962 Billy Galatian and Lana Abbott were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Lorna and Gregory. He went to work for the city of Sapulpa as a fireman in 1968 and retired in 1988 as assistant fire chief.
Billy enjoyed mowing and piddling in the shop. Anything that was broke, he could fix. He also enjoyed his dogs, Snowball, and Pistol.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Lana Galatian of the Bristow home; two children, Lorna Price and husband Stephen and Gregory Galatian and wife Nanci; one brother, Richard Galatian and wife Elaine; four grandchildren, Brandon Price and wife Ashlee and George, Emilie Jones and husband Lloyd, Justin Galatian, Anna Galatian and husband Drue Johnson; five great grandchildren, Braxton, Parker & Owen Jones, Payton and Jackson Johnson; sister in law, Linda Toon; nieces, Diana Galatian and husband David McCrary, Alison Fischer and husband Robert and their daughter, Nora, Katie Galatian and husband Tyler Burroughs; niece and her children, Donna Mosier, Carson & Luke, Sammantha Dawson, and husband Michael, Maddison Stivers, Gabbriel Stivers; Nephew and his family George Toon and wife Pam, Christy Stice, Keegan Stice, Aaron and wife Sandi Stice, Alicia Kurki and husband Zack, daughter Kylie, Zach Toon, Noah Toon & Koby Toon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Lorna G. Galatian, old Bunkie and Sparkyman.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 1:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday from 8:00AM – 8:00PM and Friday from 8:00AM – 8:00PM. The family has elected Thursday from 6:00PM – 8:00PM to receive guests at the funeral home.
