William F. Gailey

January 3, 1948 ~ August 13, 2012

Mr. William F. Gailey, 64, of Ochelata died Monday, August 13, 2012 at his home in Ochelata.

Memorial Services for Mr. Gailey will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday August 25th 2012 at the Life Church Student Center, with Rev. Matt Clark of Life Church officiating. Memorial Services and Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Gailey was born on January 3, 1948 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Vhoyele August and Helen Opal (Clark) Gailey. He was raised and received his early education at Ochelata and Bartlesville, graduating high school at Ochelata. Following his graduation he entered the U.S Army in 1967 and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1973 with the rank of Sergeant after 12 years service to his country. He was married to Jackie (Shea) Leavenworth and has now joined hands with her in heaven. He had worked as a painter in Arkansas and Bartlesville areas until his disability forced his retirement. He had made his home at Ochelata most of his adult life, returning there in 1995. His hobbies was collecting and going to Auctions. He was a member of the Washington County Disabled American Veterans # 65 , the VFW Lodge of Bartlesville, and the Bartlesville American Legion James H. Teel Post # 105.

Mr. Gailey is survived by his daughter Amy E. Gailey of Bartlesville, one step-son, Matthew Leavenworth of Bartlesville, and one step daughter, Jami (Leavenworth) Smith of Bartlesville, by two brothers Ert Gailey and his wife Mary, of Muskogee, V.A. (Stan) Gailey Jr. and his wife Valerie of Irvine California, by Two Sisters; Violet Street and husband J.R. of Bartlesville, and Mary Gray and husband Donald of Ramona, Oklahoma, by three grandchildren Nickole Gailey, Davin Hamilton, and Reanna Hamilton, all of Bartlesville, and one great-grandchild Bryleigh Hamilton of Bartlesville, and by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and other relatives.

Mr. Gailey was preceded in death by his wife Jackie (Shea) Leavenworth in March of 1990, and by three brothers Glenn, Ted and John Gailey, and by his parents.
