Gerald Lee Fuzzell

November 4, 1928 ~ May 30, 2019 (age 90)

Gerald Lee Fuzzell was born on November 4, 1928 to Earl Fuzzell and Gladys Lucille (Guthrie) Fuzzell. His heavenly father called him home on May 30, 2019 at the age of 90. He graduated from Norman High School in 1947.

He and Mary Lue Stout were united in marriage on August 29, 1953 and were married for 62 years until her death in July, 2015.

Prior to joining the Norman Fire Department in 1953, he served his country in the Army. He served the City of Norman and its citizens as a Fire Fighter for 32 years, retiring on April 25, 1985 after serving as a Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief of the Norman Fire Department. Upon his retirement, he volunteered 3070 hours with the Norman Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was a treasured mall walker for 33 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Jones and her soul mate Don Pickle, granddaughter, Kendra Howard and great granddaughter, Sloane, grandson, Josh Spleth, niece, Elaine (Mack) Dodd and cousin, Delbert Fuzzell.

Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
