Brian David Fugere, Sr, Lawton, was born November 13, 1961 to Robert and Ruth (Sexton) Fugere. He died March 13, 2014 at a local hospital at the age of 52. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel.
Brian grew up in Wisconsin and attended the local schools. He moved to Alabama where he graduated high school and then moved back to Wisconsin. In 1992 he became a security guard for a casino. He worked as a security guard until 1997, when he became the Player's Club Manager at the casino. Brian moved to California where he became the marketing director for a casino before moving to Lawton in 2007. He was the marketing director at Fort Sill/Apache Casino in Lawton and then at Chisolm Trail Casino in Duncan, where he worked until his death.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Fugere.
Survivors include his wife, Maribeth, of the home; sons, Brian Fugere, Jr of Milwaukee, WI and Cory Fugere of Montana; daughters, Melissa Custance and husband Brian of Lawton and Kia Joy Fugere of Lawton; granddaughters, Alexis Marie Custance and Brianna Lyn Custance, both of Lawton; grandson, Brian Fugere III of Milwaukee, WI; his mother, Ruth Whitney of Escanaba, MI; two brothers and two sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
