Dorothy Jane Frudy
October 21, 1937 ~ June 7, 2020

 Dorothy Jane Frudy, 82, of Tonkawa, died on June 7, 2020. As she requested, there will be no viewing with a private family burial at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Tonkawa.

Jane and her twin sister, Jean, were born on October 21, 1937, to Schley and Lydia (Deem) Frudy in rural Tonkawa.

Jane attended Center School through the 8th grade, then graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1955. Jane was very active in 4-H. After graduation from Northern Oklahoma Junior College in 1957, she completed a degree in Home Economics in 1959, from Oklahoma State University. She taught in Sabetha, Kansas for a year, then taught and retired from the Tahlequah Junior High School. She returned to Tonkawa and enjoyed antiques, having booths in several local malls.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister, Elouise Scheirman and nephew, Bradley Gilbert.

She is survived by her twin sister, Jean and her husband, Lloyd, of Tonkawa; niece, Schley Wensler of Ponca City; nephews, Tim Gilbert of the UK; , Daryl Scheirman of Tonkawa; great-nieces, Cindy Gilbert, of Wichita, KS, Heather Nolis and son, Amber, of Seatle, WA; great nephews, Jett Wensler of Ponca City; Kevin Levin and Ben of Ponca City.

Memorial donations may be made to the McCarter Museum of Tonkawa History & Centennial Park, P.O. Box 53, Tonkawa, OK 74653. Friends are welcome to leave memories of Jane at www.troutfuneralhome.com
