Mary Colleen Fresh, 86, resident of Broken Arrow, and formerly of Bartlesville, OK, died Monday, December 30th at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. Cremation arrangements were directed by The Cremation Society of Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tree Tops Apartments Activity Room located at 5001 S. Hickory, Broken Arrow, OK on Saturday January 11th at 2:00 pm.
Mary Colleen McClure Jones Fresh was born on October 12, 1927 to Loyd and Mary Edith (Snow) McClure of Wann, OK. Colleen graduated from Dewey, OK High School with the class of 1945. Colleen furthered her education by graduating from Bartlesville Business College in 1945, and then became a licensed beautician in 1947 and began working in a shop with her Mother. In 1972, Colleen graduated in the first class of Oklahoma State Licensed Health Care Administrators. She was the Administrator of the Heritage House, Heritage Hall Nursing, and Heritage Villa Nursing Homes where she retired in 1991. Colleen was a member of the Mayflower Society and a pass member of the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Colleen married Eugene Jones of Bartlesville on March 11, 1948 in Kansas City, MO. She later married Jay Fresh of Tulsa on July 20, 1993.
Colleen is survived by Regina G. Lease, and husband Johnny of Cleveland, OK; Carla J, Sandy, and her husband, Greg of Blackwell, OK, Steven F. Jones of Monkey Island, OK and Candy J. Duck, and her husband Dan of Beggs, OK., a sister Eleanor Schaeffer of Ketchum, OK; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Her Father, Brother, Mother and husband preceded her in death.
