Graveside memorial services for June Frei will be Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Hardtner Cemetery, Hardtner, Kansas with Brian Meyer officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid, Oklahoma.
June was born December 21, 1920 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to Herschel Carter and Ethel Mae Johnson and passed away October 14, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She attended school in East Saint Louis, Illinois and Wilmington,
Illinois and later business in East Saint Louis. Before marriage, June
worked at Holland Furnace Company, Alcoa Aluminum and Stockyard Bank in East
Saint Louis. On August 21, 1946, she was united in marriage to R. Joe Frei
in Oswego, Kanas. To this union a daughter, Pamela Kay in 1947 and a son,
Robert Hershel in 1951. After marriage, June worked at Farmers Co-Op in
Freedom and Alabaster Caverns. She was a member of Central Christian Church,
Disciples of Christ. June belonged to
American Legion Auxiliary for over
50 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Rogers of Woodward; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
June was preceded in death by her husband, R. Joe; son, Robert Frei; three grandchildren; a sister.
She was cremated at her request. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church.
