Graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Lane and Hwy. 99, Thursday, September 21, 2006 11:00 a.m. for William Doyal Freeman who passed away September 17, 2006.
William Doyal Freeman was born February 1, 1928 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Homer and Lena Lassiter Freeman.
He attended school in Caddo and Bennington, Oklahoma.
He served in the U.S. Army from October 1946 to April 1948.
Doyal married Faye Jones of Bennington, Oklahoma on May 1, 1948. In February of 1952 the family moved to Bakersfield, California.
Doyal's career was in the farming and ranching industry from 1952 until 1974. He retired from Newholland in 1993.
Doyal enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing and was a huge Dodger baseball fan. His family was his life and being there was his top priority. He was a loving and devoted husband and a perfect father. Doyal was best friend to many.
Doyal was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael and nephews, William and Richard.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Freeman; sisters, Lita Forsman of Grand Junction, Colorado, Bonnie Madson and husband Bob of Oakland, California and Louise McIntire and husband Clyde of Bokchito, Oklahoma; children, Julie Ann Kurz and husband Mike, William Paul Freeman and wife Teresa Ramos-Freeman, Ellen Kay Ferrell and husband, Ted, David V. Freeman and wife Janie, grandchildren, Patricia Nava, Robin Hiler, Precy Metz, Reanna Freeman Lisa, Michele Kurz, William Erick Tew, Jason Kurz, Dave and Clayton Freeman, great grandchildren, Romie Nava, Miguel Nava, Tristan Hiler, Jaslynn Crafton, Alivia Metz, and David Meta, Jr. Many nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of the emergency room and the ICU at Mercy Southwest Hospital.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Chapel
