John Thomas Freeman
November 30, 1957 ~ August 27, 2020 (age 62)

John Thomas Freeman was born November 30, 1957 in Cushing to Larnce and Lucille (Cunningham) Freeman. He passed away August 27, 2020 at his home in Wellston at the age of 62.

John was a hard-working man who could fix anything. He often dropped everything he was doing to help someone in need. John was a truck driver who loved to travel the open road. He loved his children and grandchildren who called him the animal whisperer.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Larnce and Lucille; brothers, Richard and Jay; sisters, Lorinda, Sandra and Mary. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Candida Freeman of the home; children, Latina Simmons and husband Shane of Cushing, J.C. Freeman of Drumright; step-sons, Richard Smith and wife Patricia of Chandler, Daniel Smith and wife Lacee of Wellston; (12) grandchildren; siblings, Homer Lyon and wife Nancy of Cushing, Gladys Wiggs of Ponca City, Margaret Freeman of Cushing, Barbara Berger of Michigan, Lola Lyon of Kansas; along with other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with his grandson, Reverend Joshua Pritchett officiating.
