Louise Marie (Wasleski) Frederic

Louise Marie (Wasleski) Frederic
June 2, 1925 ~ December 18, 2018

Louise Marie (Wasleski) Frederic, age 93, Tulsa Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2018. Louise was born June 2, 1925. Her first job after attending the University of Arkansas was as a TWA flight attendant. While working, she met and married Homer Frederic Jr., the love of her life. Together, they raised five children in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Louise was beautiful, smart, funny and a bit of a rebel. Her children are eternally grateful to her for teaching them to accept all people as they are regardless of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or social status. She reminded us, "to never judge a book by its cover and if you don't have something nice to say about someone, don't say it at all." She lived this core belief by example.

Louise struggled with bi-polar disorder her entire adult life. Nevertheless, she fought the beast repeatedly and ultimately experienced a wonderful and fulfilling life. In her young adulthood, she enjoyed trips to New York City for shopping sprees and fine dining. After taking a trip to the Kentucky Derby in the 1960s, she became an avid horseracing fan, never missing the Kentucky Derby on TV. Moreover, she always picked the winning horse. She cherished nature and her Little Acre on Lake Eufaula. She enjoyed driving and was never afraid to use the Broken Arrow Expressway. In spite of her children's protests, she continued to rent cars until she was 90 years old.

In her last days, Sally Anne Neville, her daughter, provided loving care through the final transition. Louise looked forward to a reunion with Jesus, family and friends that she had not seen in a long time, including her ex-husband, Homer Frederic Jr., her son, John Joseph Frederic and grandson, Scott Frederic.

Her legacy will continue with her living children, Carol Louise Frederic, Sally Ann Neville and Mark Edward Frederic, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Donna Josephine Briggs, of Jacksonville, Oregon. Her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren will carry-on her youthful spirit for generations to come.

We love you, Weezie. You were the life of the party! Shake things up in heaven and give everyone a hug.

Special thanks to all of the amazing staff at Sherwood Manor for their loving care.

According to Louise's wishes, there will be no service and no donation requests.
