Nina Jean Fraser, 94, of Newcastle, OK passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Oklahoma City.
Nina was born on June 25, 1924 in Killeen, Texas, the 9th child of eleven children born to Charlie Walker Swope and Mary Eva (Rodgers) Swope. Nina grew up in Killeen and graduated from Killeen High School in 1941. She attended one year at North Texas State Teachers College in Denton, Texas before getting married. On February 5, 1943, in Killeen, she married the love of her life, Ronald Nyale Fraser of Booneville Mississippi. Together they raised two daughters, Sue and Pat.
Nina worked as a homemaker while Ronald had a career in the U. S. Army and Army Reserves, serving in several states and Germany. In 1965, they made their home in Booneville, where they were faithful members of the First United Methodist Church. She also volunteered at the local hospital.
After Ronald passed away, Nina moved to Newcastle, OK in 2002, to be close to her daughter, Sue and her family. While living in Newcastle she attended the Newcastle First Baptist Church.
Throughout her life, Nina enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, sewing, quilting, china painting, and playing cards with family and friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and for her sweet smile. She will be greatly missed.

great grandchildren,
Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation time with family and friends will be held from 6-8pm Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 3132 Tri City Ave, in Newcastle, OK.
Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00am Monday, December 10, 2018 at Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi.
