Kristie Lyn Franks, 63, of Bartlesville passed away at her home on Monday, January 13th, 2020.
Kristie was born on January 20, 1956 in Long Beach, California to parents Gerald Williams Story and Wava Bernice Johnson.
Kristie graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in 1974. After, she attended Rogue Community College for Early Childhood Development and General Education. Kristie worked for Rare Earth in Oregon as Vice President of Operations and Lone Star Music of Gruene, TX and Superfly Music Emporium in San Marcos, TX as a retail manager. She rekindled a 20 year old friendship with Richard Simeon Franks and the couple later married in January of 1999. She enjoyed photography, sewing, cooking and being immersed in the Red Dirt/Texas country music scene.
Kristie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Simeon Franks; grandson, Austin Simeon James Franks and aunt, Clover Johnson.
Kristie is survived by her son, Chance and wife Meghan Franks; granddaughters, Bayleigh, Mekayla and Charlotte; niece, Sarah Mathes and husband, Todd; great nieces and nephews, Brittiney, Trey, Kyle, Lynda’Kai, Grant, Elissa, Carson and Liam; nephew, Karl Franks and wife Jenny; great niece, Lillie Franks; sister-in-law, Debbie Franks; sister-in-law, Daryllanne Franks; nephew, Erik LaPlante and wife Brodi; great nephews, Kai and Teo; nephew, Chris LaPlante and wife Jamie; niece, Jeni LaPlante; great niece, Annabelle and numerous other extended family members and close friends.
