Joyce Lee (Thornesbery) Franklin
August 19, 1946 ~ February 12, 2022

Joyce Lee Franklin, 75, went to be with her Lord on February 12, 2022.

Joyce was born August 19, 1946 in Chandler, OK to C.L. and Gracie (Taylor) Thronesbery.

Joyce was a 1964 graduate of Chandler High School She then went on to OBU and got a degree in secretarial studies. She worked for Tinker Air Force Base, and then Haliburton and Brown and Root. She married James Franklin on February 14, 2015 in Chandler, OK. Joyce was a member of the Chandler First Baptist Church Choir and also a member of American Legion Ladies Auxillary 64. She enjoyed working as a secretary but most of all she really enjoyed singing. Her and James would quite often

go and perform together. Joyce was one who never lost her smile, no matter what life threw at her. She was one of the sweetest God loving persons.

Joyce was preceded in death by parents C.L. Thronesbery and Gracie Thronesbery, son Craig Vance and two husbands.

Survivors include spouse James Franklin, son John Crawford and wife Jamie; son David Crawford and wife Anna; brother Carroll Thronesbery and wife Evon and numerous grandchildren; uncles Jerry Taylor, Ira Taylor, Billy Taylor and Don Taylor; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
