Jimmie Dale Franklin

Jimmie Dale Franklin
January 4, 1970 ~ December 2, 2023

Jimmie Dale Franklin, aged 53, of Hendrix, Oklahoma, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Denison, Texas. He was born on January 4, 1970, to Cecil and Betty Francis Franklin, in Perryton, Texas.

Jimmie worked in the service of others in a rehabilitation center and later in the food service industry. A true sports fan at heart, he never missed a Dallas Cowboys game and could often be found cheering on his favorite wrestling stars. His love for animals was evident in the care he gave to his own horses and dogs, which brought him immeasurable joy and companionship.

Those surviving Jimmie are his brothers, Dennis Wells of Enid, Oklahoma, and Robert Payne and wife Susie of Fritch, Texas; father-in-law Mickeal Stevenson of Hendrix, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Tonia Stevenson of Durant, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his beloved parents, Cecil and Betty Francis Franklin; his stepdad who lovingly raised him, Orville Prince; and his wife, Tina Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Kemp Baptist Church with Brother Roger Speers officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 North 5th Street, Durant, Oklahoma 74701.
