Agnes "Vivian" (Add) Franklin

September 27, 1941 ~ September 19, 2005

Vivian was born on September 17, 1941 to John and Icie Add, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She attended schools and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1960. Vivian was employed in many aspects in life, but found her calling caring for others. She cared for the elderly many years until she retired, then shared her life caring for children. Vivian became a certified foster parent, who cared for eight children over a four year period. Her greatest love of all was her two beautiful grandchildren.

Vivian was soft spoken, caring, nurturing and had an infectious personality. She was known for her encouraging words and great smile. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, John; two nephews, Adam and William (Billy). Vivian will leave to cherish her memory, daughter, Ara; son-in-law Terry; grandson, Terrell; granddaughters, Kristian and Kyana; one uncle, Sam Sumlin; nieces, Denise, Elizabeth, Debra, Christine, Stephanie and Icie; nephews, Howard, O'Keefe, Joseph, Johathan, Michael and Tony; great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Furneral services for Vivian Franklin will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 E. Brundage Lane. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 23, from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a quit hour starting at 7: p.m. in the Chapel of Beloved Care Services, 115 18th Street. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
