Frank, LeRoy "Lee", 75, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born June 1, 1936 in Washington, D.C. To Samuel and Alma (Furman) Frank. He was united in marriage on February 13, 1966 in Washington, D.C. To Lela Schutz.
Lee proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the Director of Human Resources for Hitachi before retiring in 2002. He was the past president of the United Way of Norman and was a member of Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed reading about History, WWII and the Civil War, dinosaurs and studying Astronomy. Lee loved spending time with his family and his most memorable trip was to history rich Europe.
Lee is survived by his wife, Lela "Lolly" Frank of the home; one son, Jason Frank and wife Cristine of Woodbury MN; one daughter, Alicia Drake and husband Tom of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Norma Kaplan and her daughter, Andrea of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren, Evan and Alex Drake and Lauren and Hailey Frank; brother-in-law, Richard Schutz and wife Donna and their children, Robert and Michael.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held 12:15 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota under the direction of Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
