Philomina (Pistel) Foxworth

Philomina (Pistel) Foxworth
May 8, 1925 ~ October 8, 2019

Philomina was born May 8th, 1925 in Osterberg, Germany to Andreas and Anna Pistel. She was the 2nd oldest of 6 children. Her older brother Antone Pistel (wife Agnes), her sister Berta Schaffer (husband Dale Schaffer ), her brother Maximilian Scheuing, her sister Lotte Becker (husband Herman See) and her brother Aldelbert Scheuing (wife Veronika).

Mia grew up during the WW2 area and July the 4th reminded her of the bombings during that time. She helped with raising her siblings and by age 14 moved to Klein-Weisertahl (in the Alps) to work as a chamber maid. She was a hard worker and exceeded in all her jobs in Germany as well as here in the USA. She married Harvey Foxworth and entered the USA in 1965. She lived in Pottstown, PA and moved to Lawton to be closer to her family after retirement. She visited her grandson and all her family in Germany often. In the USA she was known as Mia to everyone.

Mia loved her cat Pete and dog Bennie. She always had ice cream in the freezer. Her favorite foods were mexican and Italian and she always fixed our german dishes that we looked forward to so much. Her flower garden was amazing! Mia loved her visits from her family especially her great grandchildren which she showered with toys, hugs and kisses. She loved shopping and finding the best bargains for her family especially for her growing great grandchildren.

Philomina Foxworth passed away October 8, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Mia is survived by her 3 children. Karl-Heinz (wife Rosi ), Ingrid and Maria-Luise (aka Mary); her grandchildren, Michael Pistel (wife Daniela), Christine Webb (husband Adam), Daniel Willingham and Estelle Powell; her great grands, Gabriel Garcia, Tyler Willingham, Donovon Webb, Cayla Willingham, Izaiah Garcia, Brooke Webb and Mia De Jesus. She has many loving nieces and nephews in Germany and in the USA. Special friend Orrin Clark, nurses and neighbors.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
