Randy Lee McCasland Fox

Randy Lee McCasland Fox
September 5, 1943 ~ June 14, 2026

Randy McCasland Fox age 82 of Goldsby, Oklahoma, passed away in Norman, OK on June 14, 2026. Randy Lee McCasland Fox was born on September 5, 1943, in Delano, California. He grew up in Gotebo, Oklahoma, where he attended school. As a young man, he spent time in Purcell with his grandfather, where he met the young lady who would become the love of his life.

By chance, Randy met Leda Jean Crouch. Though age and distance separated them, he would always ask, “Are you gonna marry me?” His persistence paid off when she finally said yes. They were married on March 14, 1964, and shared 62 wonderful years together.

Randy proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he learned to work on planes. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked for a time as an aircraft mechanic before a need for a steadier job arose. An opening with Moore Public Schools maintenance dept. led to a change in his career trajectory. Randy answered a listing for a plumber at Mid-Del Public Schools and studied diligently to get his license. He eventually retired from there as a plumber for 30+ years. He enjoyed his work and took pride in being able to solve problems and instill his knowledge and skills into younger generations on the job.

In his spare time Randy loved raising dogs, especially pit bulls. He loved animals of all kinds and always had some sort of critter to care for throughout his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time hunting and fishing.

Above all, Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He cherished his family and rarely missed a day without calling his daughters to tell them he loved them.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Vernon William McCasland and Norma Maxine Fuchs, and his granddaughter Kristina Rachelle Krawtzow.

He is survived by his wife Leda Fox of the home, and his children Leigh Throckmorton and husband Gary of Foster, and Rachel Carter and husband Cody of Foster. His siblings Larry Fuchs of Gotebo, Oklahoma, Genia Conway and husband Bill of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and Tim Fuchs and wife Karen of Caldwell, Kansas. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
