May 8, 1937 ~ March 3, 2026

Pryor-
Evelyn Fox, born on May 8, 1937, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a devoted member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Pryor, where she found joy in serving her community and uplifting those around her.

Throughout her life, Evelyn displayed a remarkable commitment to helping and appreciating others. She mowed yards and swept streets for her neighbors, volunteered at her church and the local food bank, and was always willing to lend a hand or contribute to a worthy cause. Her selflessness extended to her family, as she lovingly cared for her siblings and her mother during their times of need.

She was known for bringing donuts or treats to doctor and other appointments, and for always making sure her appreciation for others service was known, whether by filling out a survey, writing a letter to a manager, or on occassion paying to publish a tribute in the paper.

Evelyn shared a special bond with her best friend Lorabell McCurry, with whom she enjoyed exploring thrift stores and garage sales, eating out, or just visiting.

Evelyn is survived by her nephews, Ken Lynch of Houston, TX, Bruce Sartin, and Mark Sartin, both of Tulsa, OK, and her niece, Tina Jenner of Glenpool, OK.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Catherine (Compton) Sartin; her husband, Jimmie Ray Fox; her siblings, Wanda Mae and Lafe Robert Sartin; as well as her nieces, Catherine Faye Coto, and Kimberly Dee (Sartin) Massey.

Evelyn Fox will be remembered for her warm spirit, generosity, and a passion for helping others.
