Carolyn was born in Depew, Oklahoma on December 24, 1939 to the late Homer Thompson & Ruby (Willingham) Thompson. She passed from this life in Drumright on June 19, 2024 at the age of 84 years, 5 months, & 26 days.
Carolyn was raised & educated in Stroud and in 1968, she moved to the family farm at Shamrock. She had lived the majority of her life in this area. She was a longtime volunteer with the Fred Joseph Community Christmas dinner and you would often see her helping out at her sister’s business as in Cushing: Billie’s Thrift Store. She had also worked part time at her son & daughter-in- laws day care in Drumright: Lisa’s Day Care. She loved tending to her garden & rose beds, the holidays with family get-togethers, & spending time with her family friends. Carolyn never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Son: James; 1 Brother: Lonnie; & 3 Sisters: Linda – Phyllis; & Donna.
Her remaining family includes 2 Sons: Larry Fox & wife Dixie of Drumright – Jerry Fox & wife Lisa of Drumright; Grandchildren: John – Sarah – Beverly – Justin – Joe – Russell – & Eronda; Brothers: Roy & Richard Thompson; Sister: Billie Eversole; plus numerous Nieces – Nephews – other relatives, and friends.
