The services celebrating the life of Russell A. Fowler, 61, of Medford, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, at Harvest Temple Assembly of God Church in Medford with the Rev. Greg Clinage officiating. Services and cremation are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1953, in Stroud to James W. and Mildred (Ragan) Fowler and passed from this life May 11, 2015, at his home in Medford with his family by his side.

He was raised in the greater Stroud area and attended Drumright High School.

He married Cherry Ann Duncan Aug. 28, 1972, in Drumright Okla.

The couple lived in various places throughout Oklahoma and the U.S. for his job. The couple moved to Medford in 1988, where they made their home. He was a self-employed contractor working at OneOk.

Russell loved golfing with friends and spending time with his girls and his grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Christi Wheeler and husband, Todd of Enid and Rachel Embree and husband, Lance of Sedgwick, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Tana, Justin, Baylee. Trenton, Derek, Garrett and Gage; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; five brothers, Jim, Ed, Lewis, Kenny and Chris; four sisters, Coleen, Bernita, Linda, and Diane.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gloria Jean.

Memorials may be made in his name to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
