May 31, 1965 ~ September 23, 2018

Robert "Robb" Paul Fouts, aged 53, died in his home on Sunday, September 23, 2018, after a brief but hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.

Robb was born in Bartlesville, OK on May 31, 1965, to Leland and Linda Fouts. Robb grew up racing BMX bikes with friends all over town, and he had a passion for his special edition 1976 gold Trans Am. From adolescence through adulthood, he also dabbled as a self-taught bass guitarist.

Robb began his life of service in 1994 as a Reserve officer with the Bartlesville Police Department, during which time he also worked as an Animal Control officer. In 1997, Robb was hired on full-time at BPD, where he continued to work for 21 years. During that time, he spent 2 years as a Patrol officer, 3 as a Field Training officer, 6 as a Sergeant, and the final 10 as Lieutenant of the night shift. Additionally, in 1999 and 2002, he received the Buckle Down Top Cop award as well as Police Officer of the Year in 2000. His influence and impact is far-reaching, and his legacy will be kept alive through the retelling of stories that catalogue his service, bravery, generosity, and steadfast leadership and friendship.

Robb is survived by his maternal grandmother, Ruby Medley of Coffeyville, KS, his parents, Leland and Linda Fouts of Coffeyville, KS, his mothers-in-law, Marcella Lindholm of Bartlesville, OK and Pat Lindholm of Scammon, KS, his sister, Stacy Taylor of Coffeyville, KS, his sister-in-law, Wendy Phillips, his wife, Holly Fouts, his biological daughters, Shianne, Sierra and Savannah Fouts, and his step-daughters, Megan and Taylor Crawley, whom he took on as his own.

Robb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Lillie Fouts of Coffeyville, KS, his maternal grandfather, Martin Beeson of Coffeyville, KS, and his father-in-law, Pete Lindholm of Scammon, KS.

Robb was known professionally and personally as being humble, honest, steady and fair in his leadership, generous, goofy, and young at heart with diverse musical tastes. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Main Headquarters, ATTN: Division of Development, 901 E. Street, NW, Suite 100, Washington, D.C. 20004-2025. To donate online, click on the following link:
