Charles Eugene Foutch

Charles Eugene Foutch
May 21, 1935 ~ July 15, 2023

Charlie Foutch, age 88 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Charles Eugene Foutch was born May 21, 1935 in Stone Bluff, Oklahoma, the 2nd of 3 children born to Albert Elmer Foutch and Cloe Irene (Criner) Foutch. He was raised primarily in Moore where he attended school, graduating with the Lion’s Class of 1955. Known by classmates as “Peanut”, the team captain and varsity quarterback led the Lions on the field, and off, he chased his girl, the head cheerleader, Miss Truda Gasper. It was a true love story in the making, and the rest as they say is history. Charlie and Truda married on June 30, 1956 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oklahoma City.

They first made their home in Moore before moving to Corpus Christie, TX. At the time, Charlie was working for Sun Oil Co. By 1963, he put in for a transfer to move back home to Moore where they raised three daughters, Sherry, Carol and Janet. Charlie’s passion was farming, so in 1979, he and Truda purchased some land near Purcell. He worked hard so he could retire at age 50, and he followed his heart and started farming. He was a family man first; he cherished Truda and his girls, and he was never happier than the day he became a Grandpa. He could fix anything, and passed much of his knowledge onto his family. He taught his girls how to drive and to take care of themselves, and he taught his grandkids many life lessons on the farm. He looked forward to family get togethers, and never missed an opportunity for a lake trip to Texoma. He was a man of great faith, and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Sherry Ann Foutch; his parents, Albert and Cloe Foutch and siblings, infant brother “Baby Foutch” and sister Betty Sue Ryan.

Charles is survived by: his best friend and life partner, Truda Foutch; his daughters, Carol Frazier and husband Matt of Purcell and Janet Hudson and husband Ronnie of Noble; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Frazier and wife Kim, Jeff Hayden, Crystal Wilbanks and husband Mike, Shane Hayden, Sheri Burton and husband Steven, and Adam Frazier; 13 great grandchildren, Garrett, Dylan, Taylor, Paige, Joe, Bradyn, Colton, Safari, Victoria, Halleigh, Charlee, Zane and Briggs; and a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to also thank Loving Care Hospice, Amada Home Health, and Lacy Jacobs with Abiding Home Health.

Rosary Service is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Little’s Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. www.wilsonlittle.com.
