Memorial services for Bryan Alan Fortune, 26, of Marietta are set for 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, in the Marietta High School Auditorium with Pastor Shane Norton officiating.
Born July 31, 1994 in Bedford, Texas, the son of Gregory Clell and TaShonda Marie Flanagan Fortune, he passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 in Ardmore.
Bryan was raised in Marietta and attended Lindsay, Texas High School where he graduated with the class of 2013. He was an FFA member and participated in team penning in the rodeo. After high school, he continued his education at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, graduating in 2015 with an associate degree in welding/metal fabrication. After graduation, Bryan returned to Marietta where he started his own welding business and continued his coownership of Fortune Hay Baling. On November 4, 2017, he married the love of his life, Christina Hailey Royall, in Celina, Texas. Bryan was known as a kindhearted man who was always smiling, and he never met a stranger. He was a hard-working man who had a big heart and always put others first. Bryan was a fun and loving family man.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Carol Wayne and Alice Flanagan, and father-in-law, Charles Royall.
Survivors include his wife, Chrissie Fortune of the home; children, Brett and Bryson Fortune of the home and Brooks Wayne Fortune to arrive in December of 2021; parents, Greg and TaShonda Fortune of Marietta; grandparents, Bill and Reba Flanagan of Greenville and Dick and Judy Fortune of Vernon, Texas; brothers, Brennan Fortune and wife Kayla of Marietta and Bolton Fortune and fiancee Izzy Lette of Marietta; mother-in-law, Susan Royall of Frisco, Texas; sister-in-law, Cassie Cossette and husband Ron of Savannah, Texas; and niece and nephew, Abby and Joseph Cossette of Savannah.
Honorary bearers are Brennan Fortune, Bolton Fortune, Blaine Rozzell, Dillon Mumford, Eric Lewis, and Travis Block.
Time of visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
