Memorial services for Norma Evelyn Forehand are 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Nowata with Pastor Wayne Clayton officiating.
There will be a family visitation Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Benjamin Funeral Service.
Norma Evelyn Forehand, 85, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was born September 27, 1930 in Ramona, OK to Jess E. and Dolly (Blevins) Workman. Norma attended and graduated from Ramona Schools. On March 21, 1953 she married the love of her life, Bud Forehand. They had five children. Norma was a seamstress and enjoyed knitting, and doing needlecraft. She loved cooking cookies and raising her children and grandchildren. Norma also enjoyed raising flowers and caring for her tropical fish. Norma was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked with the three year olds at Vacation Bible School during the 1960's and 1970's. She was a member of the Golden Notes Choir and enjoyed church outings. She liked to read through magazines where she would find recipes. She loved cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas for her entire family. Norma had a special place in her heart for her family. Her husband Bud, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members. Norma will be missed by all who knew her.
Norma is survived by her husband, Bud, of the home; three children, Dianna Jefferies of Coffeyville, KS., Russell Forehand and wife Darlene of Clarksville, AR., Becky Forehand-Reeder and husband Terry of Nowata; four brothers, George Workman, Harold Workman, John Bruce Workman, Kiefer Workman, all of Ramona, OK; nine grandchildren, Richard Forehand, Susan Sutton and husband Marc, Jennifer Jones and husband Seth, Jason Forehand and wife Kathrine, Elizabeth Reeves and husband Rob, Shaunlie Forehand, Benjamin Forehand, Lahonna Oelkers and husband Brian, Terry Reeder II and wife Rachel, twenty four great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Babe Forehand and Joyce Forehand; six siblings, Barbara Horsley, Laurell Bowman, Calvin Workman, Jesse Workman, Kenneth Workman, Lorenzo Workman, and a granddaughter, Sara Nicole Forehand.
