Troy Lee Ford, Sr.

Troy Lee Ford, Sr.
December 22, 1949 ~ December 5, 2022

A Texas native, Troy Sr. was born on December 22, 1949, in Dennison, TX to Ora Lea Corbett and Coy Henry Bryant Ford. Raised in Garland, as a youth Troy Sr. played Little League Baseball and graduated Garland High School. In his professional career, Troy Sr. went on to become licensed as a Master Plumber, and at the time was the third youngest in the state of Texas to achieve it. He retired from the plumbing industry at the age of 62.

Troy Sr. loved being outdoors, and dedicated his time as an avid fisherman, dove and deer hunter. He was one hell of a marksman when shooting rifles, such that onlookers would be in awe of his marksmanship and laser focus with his one good eye.

Always enjoying a good time, Troy Sr. loved to crack jokes and was a friendly man who was charismatic with the ladies. You could find him at his favorite bar, listening to Ray Price and shooting pool, playing Moon dominoes with his friends or in Las Vegas at the poker tables; he also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. One of his favorite things was to spend time with his best friend Francisco Ibarra and his family.

roy Sr. was always available to his friends and family when they needed help or support. His loved ones knew he would always answer when you called. He was a dog lover and unfailingly had pet dogs for his companionship, and often had cattle on his property.

Troy Sr. passed away peacefully early morning on Sunday, December 5 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his mother Ora Lea Holder and father Coy Henry Bryant Ford. Troy Sr. is survived by his Stepfather Charles Owen Holder, his brother Coy Arthur Ford, and his greatest loves - his son Troy Lee Ford, Jr. (Andrea), and grandchildren Cevanna, Ricardo, and Catalina, and great granddaughter Nora.

Troy Sr. is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace, free from pain.

The family will receive friends at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma on December 10, 2022, at 2:00pm
