Sabrina Nicole Ford, lovingly known as Brina, left us on November 10, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 47. Sabrina was born on August 10, 1977, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. After graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, she remained in Durant, Oklahoma, and developed close relationships with her family, friends, and community.
Sabrina was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her mother Alma Lee Finley of Tishomingo, her father Billy Kemp of Tishomingo, her fiancé Derrail Thomas of Keller, Texas, her beloved daughter Jaylin Ford of Tulsa, and stepdaughter Olivia Thomas. Sabrina is also survived by her siblings: sister Teara Jan Finley of Tulsa, brothers Myric Kemp of Durant, and Dusty Kemp of Tishomingo, sisters Clarissa Jones of Oklahoma City and Georgia Kemp, Sister In-Law Dusty Kemp and many nieces and nephews. She is also remembered by her bonus siblings: Tomyra, Marie, Shanna, Katie, and all others she lovingly included as family. Sabrina was preceded in death by her beloved son, Hunter Stephen Ford, whose memory she carried with her every day. She was also preceded by her grandparents: Grandma Allie Finley, Grandpa Simon Finley, Grandma Inez Kemp, and Grandpa George Kemp.
For over 20 years, Sabrina worked tirelessly for the TRIO Program, a role that allowed her to mentor and support countless students in their educational journeys. Most recently, she worked as a Training Manager for Omnicare365, where her dedication and work ethic left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the company.
A passionate and compassionate soul, Sabrina was known for her unwavering love for her family and friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and serve her community in any way she could. Despite the challenges she faced, Sabrina's strength and kindness were a constant source of inspiration to all who knew her. She held the memory of her son Hunter in her heart, ensuring his legacy lived on in everything she did. Sabrina’s life was a testament to the power of faith. Her unwavering belief in the Lord was a guiding force through every joy and trial she encountered. Sabrina’s faith was evident in everything she did — from the love she poured into her family to the countless ways she served others. Her strength, resilience, and compassion were rooted in her trust in God's grace, and she shared that faith generously with everyone she met. She found comfort and peace in the Lord’s promises, and her life was a reflection of that unshakable foundation.
Sabrina's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
Public viewing and family visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 7-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel Durant, Oklahoma. Family and friends will be leading a celebration of Sabrina’s life on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium on the Campus Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
