Eugene Lanham Ford

Eugene Lanham Ford
December 27, 1931 ~ December 21, 2021

Eugene Lanham Ford was born December 27, 1931, in Parker County, Texas, to James Marye Ford and Myrtle Alma McQueen Ford, and passed from this life into his eternal heavenly home on December 21, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Weatherford High School, Weatherford, Texas, in 1948, and met the love of his life, Alma Bailey, in 1949 and married her on March 6, 1955. In between, he served his country from 1951 to 1955, during the Korean Conflict, aboard the USS Toledo.

Lanham attended Texas Christian University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant from which he retired in 2005.

He was a man of great faith who served the Lord in many capacities over his almost 90 years. Many called him Sunday School teacher, Brother Ford, and deacon. After his retirement he served as a supply pastor for several small churches in the Enid area.

He also left an amazing legacy in his family who loved him dearly and will miss him deeply. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alma Bailey Ford, of the home; his daughter, Kay Ford Morris (Tracy) of Breckinridge; four grandchildren: Mark Morris (Hallie) and Scott Morris (Angie) of Enid, Jill Morris Russell (Corey) of Oklahoma City, and Bobby Hodges (Erin) of Parker County, Texas; and ten great-grandchildren: Luke Morris, Chloe Morris, Ethan Morris, Mack Morris, Nixon Russell, Nolan Russell, Nash Russell, Peyson Hodges, Lanham Hodges, and Orvie Hodges.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Clay Ford; his brothers, JW Ford, HC Ford, and Earl Ford.

Funeral services for Eugene Lanham Ford will be held December 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Brother Matt Miles officiating. Burial will be at the Dicey Cemetery in Parker County, Texas. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
