Cynthia Ann Ford, 63, of Bartlesville, died Tuesday in Tulsa.

Cynthia, or Cindy as she was known, was born the daughter of Betty (Landis) Viles and James Robert Ford on November 8, 1954, in El Dorado, Illinois. She was raised and educated in Barnsdall, graduating from high school in 1972. During her growing up years Cindy developed a lifelong love for dancing and was a cheerleader. She furthered her education by attending business school in Tulsa. Her first jobs were with Skelly Oil and Southwestern Bell where she worked for many years. She switched career paths by taking a job with Jane Phillips Medical Center as an ER admitting attendant. She loved helping people and later moved over to Coffeyville Medical Center where she worked until retiring recently due to her health.

Cindy loved to go dancing but often stayed home to watch her favorite TV shows. She cared for her mother for many years in her home. Her favorite football team was the OU Sooners and she enjoyed watching the games at her sister's house drinking her favorite beer. Cindy loved being around people, especially her family.

Cindy is survived by her mother Betty Viles of Dewey; two sisters, Lynda Gomez of Dewey, and Elaine Holbrook and Bob of Weatherford, TX. She dearly loved her niece Samantha Gomez, nephew Josh Whinery, and extended family Jeanna and Gary Wing and Amy and Brad Brill. She is preceded in death by her father and sister Diana Buoy.

Cindy's family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Tuesday, November 13, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10-8.
