Beatrice Harriett Lamon passed away peacefully from this earth on February 6th, 2016 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma after a brief illness.
She was born January 9th, 1926 in Turtleriver Township Bemidji, Maryland to Roy William and Ester Helen Craver Lamon. She attended school in a one room school house through the 8th grade in the Bemidji area. On February 25th, 1946, she married her beloved husband of 60 plus years, Dale Warren Ford in Riverside, Iowa. They farmed in the Riverside area till they moved to Perdido Beach, Alabama where Dale took a job working in the Pensacola, Florida Naval Ship Yards until his retirement.
Dale and Bea were very active with the Volunteer Fire Department. They enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and polka dancing. Bea loved her dolls, some she made and some were purchased and also enjoyed crafting and baking.
Bea is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Godin of Bemidji, Minnesota, Ruth Weis and husband Bill of Bemidji, Minnesota; one brother, Albert Lamon and wife Patty of Enid, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Dale, three brothers, Cedrick Lamon, Bryce Lamon, and Harold Lamon, and parents, Roy and Ester Lamon.
Bea will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Perdido Beach, Alabama Volunteer Fire Department, 8450 Escambia Avenue, Perdido Beach, Alabama 36530.
