Alma Lavern (Bailey) Ford
December 28, 1932 ~ August 16, 2022

Alma Lavern Ford was born December 28, 1932, in Joshua County, Texas, to William Frank and Joyce Lois (Rollins) Bailey, and passed from this life into her heavenly home on August 16, 2022, in Breckinridge, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Aledo High School, Aledo, Texas, in 1948, and met the love of her life, Lanham Ford, in 1949. They married at her parents' home on March 6, 1955. Alma attended Weatherford Junior College and obtained an Associate's Degree. For many years she did bookkeeping and managed her husband's CPA office in Weatherford before she retired and moved to Oklahoma in 2005.

She was a member of Liberty Southern Baptist Church.

She left behind an amazing legacy in her family who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Kay Morris (Tracy) of Breckinridge; four grandchildren: Mark Morris (Hallie) and Scott Morris (Angie) of Enid, Jill Morris Russell (Corey) of Oklahoma City, and Bobby Hodges (Erin) of Parker County, Texas; and ten great-grandchildren: Luke Morris (Gracie), Chloe Morris, Ethan Morris (Cailey), Mack Morris, Nixon Russell, Nolan Russell, Nash Russell, Peyson Hodges, Lanham Hodges, and Orvie Hodges; one sister-in-law, Karen Bailey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lanham; and siblings, William Bailey, Doris Tandy, Bob Bailey, Ban Bailey, Yvonne Vernon, Emily Lambert, and Harvey Bailey.

Visitation for Alma Ford will be held 6-7 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Gilbreath-Pickard Funeral Home Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Burial will be at Dicey Cemetery in Parker County, Texas. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Dicey Cemetery, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
