Alan Lee Ford

June 25, 1964 ~ January 11, 2009

Alan Lee Ford, 44, of Midwest City, left this world January 11, 2009. He was born on June 25, 1964 in Oklahoma City to Delmas and Carol Ford. He attended Midwest City High School and received his GED in 1983.

He worked for the State of Oklahoma at the Department of Labor, the Aeronautics Commission, Work Force Oklahoma, and most recently for the Department of Central Services until his untimely death. For several years, Alan lived in Enid and made lifelong friends at Van House, He also met and was grateful to the wonderful people at FirstStep. His family is eternally indebted to those who met and assisted him on his journey through life. Alan had found his way and made peace with his Lord, and will be deeply missed by all those lives he touched with his crazy sense of humor, love of a delicious meal, a fun but serious round of golf, or a difficult crossword puzzle.

He is survived by his daughter and her family, Ashley and Trey Hagan, and one grandson, Landen Rhodes, all of MWC. He will also be missed by his parents, Delmas and Carol Ford, his brother and his family, Keith (Ford) and Lynn Lindsay, their children Shawn and Mardi Lindsay, Lauren Lindsay, and Rachel Lindsay, all of MWC, and his sister, Carrie (Ford) Lindsay of Tulsa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Main Street Foundation, c/o Van's House, 701 West Main, Enid, OK 73701, or the charity of your choice.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 in the funeral home chapel.
