Stanley (Stan) Ray Forbes, 69, of Wynona, OK passed away July 20, 2020 at St. John's Hospital of Tulsa. Stan was born on September 18, 1950, to William Ralph Forbes and Lila Virginia Forbes in Pawhuska, OK.
Stan graduated from Barnsdall Public Schools in 1969. After high school, he went to work in the Oilfield Industry where he worked on drilling rigs and later became Forman and ran the operations.
He married his wife Dana Forbes on June 29, 2005 in Bartlesville, OK. After 40 years of working in the oilfield, Stan retired to their home in Wynona, OK. There he enjoyed working in his shop and creating his horse shoe art. Stan also loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia and his father, Ralph and his older brother, Ralph Jr.
He was survived by his wife, Dana. Siblings, Jim and Darlene Moles (Wynona). Niece, Lisa Moles (Tulsa). Children, Gary and Sarah Murphy (Ramona). Mark and Carla Brim (Bartlesville). Grandchildren, Chad and Shelby Holloway (Fairfax). Justin and Destiny Murphy (Ponca City). Jessica Murphy, Chase and Cooper Brim. Great grandchildren, Coy, Slaiton, Tinley, Chandler and Samantha.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2:00PM, at the Pawhuska Church of God. Pastor Pat Hailey will officiate.
