Malissa Ann Forbes was born on February 15, 1968 in Fairview, Oklahoma to Bobby and Virginia (Headlee) Forbes. The family lived in Helena, Oklahoma until 1975 when Malissa was seven and then they moved to Woodward. Malissa enjoyed playing sports in school and especially loved basketball. She was very talented in drawing and painting and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Malissa is preceded in death by her mother Virginia “Ginger” Forbes.
She is survived by her father, Bobby E. Forbes of Freedom; one brother, Calvin Forbes and wife Kim of The Colony, Texas; two nephews, Jeremy Forbes and Jesse Forbes of The Colony, Texas; one niece, Taylor Forbes of The Colony, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Western Plains Youth and Family Services, Inc. or the Living Word Fellowships Family’s Helping Family’s Food Bank with the funeral home accepting the donations. Remembrances may be shared online at www.billingsfuneralhomewoodward.com
Malissa Ann Forbes went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Woodward, Oklahoma at the age of 45. A memorial service for Malissa will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Scott Ware officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
