Beulah “Jean” Fontz of Durant, Ok passed away Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023. Jean was born November 29, 1962, in Indianapolis, IN to Claude Hogue and Geneva Herring. She married Charles Von Fontz on December 9, 1979, in Durant, Ok. She worked at Calera Public School for many years and loved all her kids, family, and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Von Fontz, parents Claude and Geneva Hogue, Grandparents Charles and Mae Beulah Hogue, Brothers Charles Hogue and Thomas Hogue, and Nephew Craig Hogue.
Surviving is her daughter Star’s Sims and husband Eric Sims of Durant, Ok. Son Charles Von Fontz II and wife Sugey Fontz of Davenport, Fl. Grandchildren Brayden, Katelynn, Mark, and Aaliyah. Brothers Claude Hogue Jr., Clay Hogue, and David Hogue and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Services for Beulah “Jean” Fontz will be at 10 am. Friday August 4, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Calera, Ok with Reverend Jimmy Parrish officiating.
Charles Von Fontz 56, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away Monday morning August 19, 2013 at his home in the presence of his loving family. He was born November 2, 1956 in Sherman, Texas to Charles Darty and Wanda Knight Fontz. He attended Denison, Texas schools and Married Jean Hogue December 9, 1979 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked for the Calera school and drove a bus there for many years and loved all his kids, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by Grandmother Annie Knight, Father Charles Darty Fontz, Adopted Father Udale Fortenberry and Nephew Craig Hogue.
Surviving is his Wife of the home Jean Fontz Durant, Son Charles Von Fontz II of Gilbert, Arizona. Daughters Stars Sims of Durant and Melissa Timmons of Dallas, Son-in-Law Eric Sims, Grandkids Brayden and Kateylnn Sims, and Mark Fontz. Mother Wanda Hunt of Sherman. Brothers Ronnie and Mark Fontz. Sisters Wanda Kinbrell and Claire Carter. Adopted Sister Whesley Elliott. Adopted Mother Mary Fortenberry. Many other Family and Adopted friends.
A Memorial Service for Charles Von Fontz will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday morning August 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Calera, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Parrish officiating.
