Nichole Lynn Fontenot

October 29, 1980 ~ March 3, 2015

Nichole Lynn Fontenot, Lawton, was born October 29, 1980 in Lawton to Darla Fontenot-Sayre. She passed away at home on March 3, 2015 at the age of 34.

Nichole was born and raised in Lawton. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1999; with perseverance and determination she walked across that stage to accept her diploma. She attended Cameron University for a short time, before becoming a constant companion and caregiver to her precious grandma and her beloved Uncle "G", Jerry, until they passed away.

She and her sister, Brandi, have always been the rock that has held their mother together.

Our beautiful young girl has left us too soon. We have been so blessed to have her with us. Everyone who knows her can tell you how brave, loving, and beautiful she is.

She was avid in APA Pool League and was captain of her team for many years.

She loved karaoke, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends, but her happiest time in the last few years were when she took care of her nephews Noah, Connor, and Seth. Her beautiful soul and her laughter will shine in our hearts forever. She welcomed everyone with open arms and a sympathetic ear.

Thank you to everyone who touched her life. She truly loved you all.

She is preceded in death by her grandma, Darlene Ehmer; grandpa, Tiny Ehmer; Uncles, Jerry Fontenot and Jessie Graves; and her grandma's loving companion, J. Mack Cox.

Survivors include her mother, Darla Fontenot-Sayre, of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Brandi and Nathan Wedman, and their children, Noah, Connor, and Seth, all of Lawton; her beloved Papa and step-grandma, Paul and Benny Fontenot, of Lawton; her step-father and his wife, Jack and Patty Sayre of Marlow; "adopted" sisters, Stacey Mendez of Corpus Christie, TX and Andrea Townsend of Freeport, IL; aunts, Shirley Graves of Lawton, Helen Chamberlin of Oklahoma City, and Wilma Stout of Lawton; cousin, Casi Pogue of Ft. Myers, FL and numerous extended family members and friends.
