Funeral services for Antonio Fonseca II, age 75, Bessie resident and farmer, were held Thursday, March 7, at the Cebellos Funeral Home in McAllen, Texas with burial in the La Piedad Cemetery.
Fonseca died Friday, March 1, 2002, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born in McAllen, Texas.
His last living sibling is sister Nimfa Fonseca, living in Texas.
Other survivors include his wife, Augustina Acosta Fonseca of Bessie; eight sons, Antonio Fonseca Jr., and wife Mary, Rogelio and Ricardo Fonseca, all of Joplin, Mo., Isreal Fonseca and his wife, Connie, Frederico and Ruben Fonseca, all of Aurora, Ill., Rene Fonseca and his wife, Cherly, of Muleshoe, Mo., Ismael Fonseca and his wife, Donna, of Jacksonville, Fla.; five daughters, Rosa Alvarez and husband Pedro, of Palm Spirngs, Calif., Maria Isabel, Alice, and San Juana Fonseca, all of Sanger, Calif., Augustina Fonseca of Orlanda, Fla.; 40 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
