Memorial services for Mrs. Joane Fogel, age 84, of Norman will be held at the Historic Santa Fe Train Depot, 200 South Jones in Norman on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
Mrs. Fogel was born August 8, 1932 in Long Island, New York, the daughter of Lionel G. Moran, Sr. and Jual Patrick. She was united in marriage to Norman Fogel on December 9, 1960 in Norman, Oklahoma. Mrs. Fogel was an artist, wedding officiant, and beloved wise woman, retiring in 2012.
She was one of the founding members of the Norman Community Playhouse and was active in the Oklahoma City theater community. She was the president of the Oklahoma Psychic Education and Research Association for ten years, and was very active in the Oklahoma City area metaphysical community. She also served as the Queen of the Norman Medieval Fair.
Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy McAnarney of Norman, and Dara Fogel and her husband Richard Auer of Norman; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings; her brother, Lionel G. Moran, Jr. and sister, Jualie Moran Smith.
